UFI, a global leader in filtration and thermal management solutions, as well as green hydrogen technologies, has announced the Aftermarket availability of UFICore^TM, the range of high-tech engine air filters for truck, earthmoving and agricultural applications. The new UFICore^TM Aftermarket range, which is expected to be steadily expanded, currently includes 11 part numbers in the catalogue, covering around 500 applications.

UFICore^TM provides an excellent solution as a replacement for existing systems, offering the same protection as Original Equipment filters against harmful contaminants. Tested according to the ISO 5011 standard, UFICore^TM filters achieve up to 99.99% filtration efficiency due to their unique design and high quality filter media.

Groove design for maximum performance in a small space

The design features of UFICore^TM deliver a higher filtered air treatment capacity with a lower pressure drop. The filtration media’s structure consists of a system of both closed and open channels, incorporating a wavy groove design that directs the air flow into the side of the filter housing, which, being closed at the end, diverts air to the adjacent channel. In this way, clean air reaches the engine intake system while minimising velocity and pressure losses. This specific technology makes it possible to reduce the size of the filter by up to 40 percent compared to traditional solutions based on pleated filter media, thus limiting its weight and facilitating its installation.

UFICore^TM filtration media are cellulose-based with synthetic fibres (no fibreglass), for easier disposal. This UFI choice is the result of long and careful research comprising comparative tests, laboratory tests and microscopic analysis, conducted to guarantee a level of performance comparable to Original Equipment filters. UFICore^TM delivers superior performance compared with other existing solutions, even in the most demanding conditions such as those in which agricultural and construction vehicles operate. For such applications, the filter can be offered together with a second, safety filter, whose job is to protect the housing during main filter replacement operations – avoiding the danger of dust and contaminant intrusion.
